Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann strongly condemned the arrest of Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal, calling it a "false case." Addressing a gathering, Mann stated, "Today, Arvind Kejriwal has been jailed in a false case. But how will you arrest his thoughts? What will you do about the crores of people who have an ideology similar to Kejriwal?"
Mann warned of the dangers of prolonged public suppression, drawing a parallel with the recent political crisis in Bangladesh. "When there is a dictatorship imposed on the people, they can be quiet for 5 years, they can seal their mouths for 10 years, they can keep a rock on their chest for 15 years, and they can be quiet half-heartedly for 20 years. But when they wake up after 20 years... we saw what happened in Bangladesh yesterday. They woke up after 20 years and she had to escape within 30 minutes. They also took hens and ducks from the Prime Minister's residence."
