Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has reiterated that for him and his party, politics is driven by passion rather than business interests. In a recent statement, CM Mann emphasized the distinction between their approach and that of the opposition.
"We do not treat politics as business. It is not just a profession but a passion for us," Mann stated, underscoring the dedication and commitment of his party.
Mann also took the opportunity to criticize the opposition, suggesting that if they had been effective, there would have been no need to form a new party. "If they (the opposition) were good, we wouldn't have to form a party," he remarked.
Reflecting on the political landscape in Haryana, Mann pointed out the dissatisfaction of the people with previous administrations. "They challenged us...The people of Haryana gave time and chance to every party, but none were good enough," he concluded.
