Congress leader Randeep Surjewala has criticized the BJP for allegedly undermining the Congress government in Karnataka. In a statement following a meeting with Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, and other party leaders, Surjewala accused the BJP of using the Governor as a tool to attack the state government.
Surjewala described the BJP's actions as a response to their "decimating defeat," asserting that the party's leaders, including Prime Minister and Union Home Minister, are attempting to destabilize the Karnataka government. He framed these efforts as part of a "sinister design" aimed at attacking the five Congress guarantees introduced by the Karnataka government.
