BJP leader Shehzad Poonawalla has strongly criticized West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, stating that she should resign for failing to take responsibility amid allegations. According to Poonawalla, Banerjee has been accusing others of conspiracy rather than owning up to her role in the ongoing issue.

"It is very shameful that today when West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee should resign, instead of taking responsibility she is making accusations. She is saying that all this is a conspiracy," said Poonawalla. He further referred to a recent Supreme Court observation, adding, "Today, the Supreme Court said that there has been a delay of 14 hours in filing the FIR. Is the SC part of the conspiracy?"

Poonawalla’s comments highlight growing tensions between the BJP and the West Bengal government, with the BJP calling for Banerjee to step down from her position. He asserted, "She has no right to hold the post." The remarks follow continued scrutiny over Banerjee's handling of various issues within the state.
