New Delhi: In a scathing critique, Congress MP Randeep Singh Surjewala accused the Modi government of consistently disrespecting Parliament, democracy, and the Constitution. Speaking on the recent budget and parliamentary proceedings, Surjewala highlighted the government's alleged disregard for democratic decorum.

"They do not want to listen in Parliament. Insult to Parliament, democracy, and the Constitution, and trampling on Constitutional decorum is something that the Modi Government does every day and then they ask questions," Surjewala remarked, emphasizing the administration's persistent overreach.

Surjewala further condemned the government, stating, "Those who crush the Constitution and democracy under bulldozer - will they protect Constitution and democracy? They get all their absurd decisions recommended through the NITI Aayog."

Referring to the recent budget, Surjewala described it as a "kursi bachao, saathi patao aur badla lete jaao" budget, implying that the financial plan focuses on retaining power, placating allies, and exacting revenge on political adversaries. "Government will have to be shown the mirror of truth," he asserted.

In his closing remarks, Surjewala accused the government of retaliating against states where they have lost political ground. "They seek revenge from people of those states that they lose. We raise the voices of people, and they snatch away the rights of people," he concluded.
