Srinagar: Tarun Chugh, BJP national general secretary and Jammu and Kashmir in-charge, sharply criticized former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah for his recent statements advocating for unity and diversity in the region. Speaking in Srinagar, Chugh accused Abdullah of hypocrisy, pointing out a stark contrast between his current rhetoric and his past remarks.

"Farooq Abdullah is today talking about unity, integrity, and unity in diversity," Chugh stated. "But this is the same person who, until yesterday, was talking about Pakistan and undermining the rights of our citizens. The people who have previously snatched the rights of the citizens are now speaking about humanity and diversity. This is nothing but a display of double character and a double face."

Chugh's comments come in response to Abdullah's recent statements promoting peace and inclusivity in Jammu and Kashmir. The BJP leader dismissed Abdullah's remarks as insincere, labeling his manifesto as "a bundle of lies."

"Every word in it is written with lies," Chugh asserted, further accusing Abdullah and his party of misleading the public and failing to uphold the principles they now claim to support. The BJP leader's remarks underscore the ongoing political tensions in Jammu and Kashmir, as leaders from various parties continue to clash over the region's future.
