Katihar, Bihar: RJD leader Tejashvi Yadav announced a series of welfare initiatives aimed at addressing income disparity and improving the living standards of Bihar’s citizens. Speaking about the findings of the caste-based survey conducted in the state, Yadav revealed, “The survey showed that the income of 94 lakh families is less than Rs 6,000.”

To uplift women financially, Yadav introduced the proposed Mai Behan Maan Yojana, a scheme designed to deposit ₹2,500 directly into the accounts of women. He assured its implementation within a year of forming the government.

In addition to empowering women, Yadav promised a significant increase in the social security pension, from ₹400 to ₹1,500, to provide better financial support to the elderly and vulnerable populations. Addressing the high cost of electricity in the state, he pledged to offer 200 units of free electricity, making Bihar’s energy sector more affordable for its residents.

For the development of underserved regions, Yadav committed to the creation of the Seemanchal Development Authority and the Kosi Vikas Pradhikaran, focusing on infrastructure and economic growth in these areas.

“Bihar has the most expensive electricity. If our government is formed, we will ensure affordability and accessibility for all,” Yadav stated, emphasizing his party’s vision for equitable growth.

The promises reflect RJD’s broader agenda to tackle socio-economic disparities and provide targeted relief to marginalized communities. As Bihar gears up for future elections, Yadav’s announcements position the RJD as a champion of welfare and development in the state
