Patna, Bihar: RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav visited Shehzad Ansari, the husband of Sigori Panchayat head Zubaida Khatoon, at AIIMS Patna, where Ansari is being treated for gunshot wounds. Yadav expressed grave concerns about the state of law and order under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s administration.

“We are worried that criminals have become rampant,” Yadav said. He criticized the current administration, stating, “CM Nitish Kumar’s prosperity has ended and there is no capable administration. People are not safe within their own houses.” His comments reflect growing frustration with the perceived deterioration in safety and governance in Bihar.

Ansari, who was shot by unidentified assailants at Sigo Bazar Chowk, is reported to be in critical condition. Yadav’s visit to the hospital was accompanied by expressions of sympathy for Ansari's family. “The family has our sympathy,” Yadav added, highlighting his concern for the victim and his family amidst the ongoing crisis.

The incident and Yadav’s remarks underscore the mounting tension and dissatisfaction with the current political leadership in Bihar, focusing on the need for improved security and administrative effectiveness.
