On the occasion of World Tourism Day, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami extended his greetings to the people of the state, highlighting Uttarakhand’s prominent role in both national and global tourism. In a message to mark the day, Dhami emphasized the state’s rich cultural heritage, diverse folk traditions, and natural beauty as major attractions that draw tourists year-round.

Dhami pointed to the state’s unique cultural landscape, noting that Uttarakhand’s festivals, fairs, and celebrations showcase a wide range of folk music, dance, handicrafts, and multifaceted folk culture. These elements have long made the state a focal point for visitors seeking both spiritual and cultural experiences. He also mentioned the Char Dhams, which have been central to the faith of millions around the world for centuries, as vital to the state’s tourism appeal.

The Chief Minister underscored the importance of tourism in strengthening Uttarakhand’s economy, with initiatives underway to further boost infrastructure.
