Uttarakhand CM Orders Relief Operations After Heavy Rains & Landslides

Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami instructs officials to manage relief and rescue operations in Tehri Garhwal following severe weather damage, urging immediate action for affected villagers and animals.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has issued directives for urgent relief and rescue operations in the wake of heavy rains and landslides impacting Bal Ganga and Budha Kedar in the Bhilangana development block of Tehri Garhwal.

CM Dhami has instructed Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey and District Magistrate Mayur Dixit to carry out effective relief efforts. He has also asked the Minister in-charge of Tehri, Premchand Aggarwal, to visit the affected areas and oversee the ongoing rescue and relief activities.

In light of the damage, CM Dhami emphasized the need to promptly identify sensitive villages in the affected areas and relocate residents to safer locations. He further directed that provisions be made to safeguard cattle and other domestic animals alongside local residents
