Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Public Works and Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh addressed the ongoing controversy surrounding the Sanjauli mosque, emphasizing that the state government will take lawful action based on constitutional guidelines. Speaking on the issue, Singh assured the public that any decision regarding the mosque will adhere strictly to the law.

"I haven't seen the tweet of the MLA, but I want to assure you that there is a Congress government in Himachal, and it functions according to the law," Singh said. He reiterated that any action taken will be based on the guidelines and rulings of the judicial process.

Singh clarified that the matter is related to the municipal corporation and is currently subjudice, with the case being heard in the quasi-judicial office of the commissioner. "If a decision comes that the structure is illegal, it will be demolished," Singh stated, dismissing any communal dimension to the case. He also stressed that all decisions will be taken in accordance with the law, assuring that the Congress government remains committed to upholding the Constitution.

The case has sparked discussions in Himachal Pradesh, but he (Vikramaditya Singh) emphasized that the legal process will determine the outcome.
