Ahead of 76th Independence Day, State govt make special request

On August 15, the entire country will celebrate the 76th Independence Day. Meanwhile, the Sikkim government has made a special request. As part of the nationwide 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign, the Sikkim government has urged all citizens of the state to hoist the national flag at their homes and offices between August 13 and 15.

A statement from the culture department said, 'In this nationwide campaign, all the people of Sikkim are urged to join the celebration of Tiranga Abhiyan at every house by hoisting the national flag at their homes, offices etc. from August 13 to 15.’
