India's pride ISRO, let's take a look at some of the notable missions

BY A STAFF REPORTER: 77 years of India's independence have passed. India has achieved a dimension of its own in the world. India today is competing with other first world countries. India today has established itself in space as well. Indian Space Research Organization or ISRO, today has overtaken even NASA, the international agency in space science.

Since independence till date ISRO has conducted 125 spacecraft missions and 92 launch missions. Let's take a look at some of the missions.

Chandrayaan 1: This is India's first lunar mission. This mission was conducted on 22 October 2008. The vehicle successfully entered lunar orbit on November 8, 2008.

Chandrayaan 2: This mission was launched on July 22, 2019. Its purpose was to search for water in the lunar soil.

Aditya L 1: It was a mission to orbit the Sun.

Mars Orbiter Mission: It launched on November 5, 2013. It was India's first interplanetary spaceflight mission and ISRO became the fourth space agency to reach Mars after the Soviet space program, NASA and the European Space Agency.

Also, ISRO has several missions in the coming days. Like, Gaganyaan and Nisar, Chandrayaan 4, AstroSat-2 etc.
