Ahead of Its Inauguration, Consecration of BAPS Mandir Begins

BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant development, the consecration ceremony of the United Arab Emirates' first Hindu temple began in Abu Dhabi on 14th February, Wednesday. Shortly, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the temple. 

The inauguration ceremony for the BAPS Mandir is scheduled for today evening. Moreover, BAPS Mandir is the first traditional Hindu temple in the Middle East and it can serve up to 10,000 people. 

The inauguration of BAPS Mandir is a key part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's two-day visit to the UAE from 13th to 14th February. Additionally, Modi addressed the Indian diaspora in the 'Alhan Modi' event organized in his honor on 13th February in Abu Dhabi.
