Bangladesh will digitize land records: minister Narayan Chandra Chanda

By Avijit Nandi Majumdar: Bangladesh is moving towards integrating land records in digitized databases. Speaking exclusively with ANM News, Land minister of Bangladesh, Narayan Chandra Chanda said the government's first priority is to ensure complete digitization of land records. ``We are working towards ensuring online payment of land bills, and an integrated database of land and landowners.  We are also keen to have a land map,'' Chanda said. ``The digitization will weed out corruption,'' he added, saying that this is the top priority of his ministry after taking charge. ``We hope to complete the process in five years,'' Chanda said.
