BY A STAFF REPORTER: Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said criminal charges against Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin would be dropped and he would be sent to neighboring Belarus.
Peskov's office said Prigozin had received assurances from Russian President Vladimir Putin to leave the country as part of a deal to halt wagner's advance toward Moscow.
Earlier on Saturday, Russia's National Anti-Terrorism Committee announced the launch of an "anti-terrorism operation" in the Moscow region and the Voronez region. Moscow's mayor has declared Monday as "Unemployment Day."
