The journey to Yunan in China was a memorable experience that has successfully etched deep feelings for the country.

The Youth Delegation meet which they organised had enabled me to be surrounded by talented team of 12 artists, each distinguished at their own rights, allowed to engage deeply with the China's rich cultural heritage which forged stronger bonds, friendship, and cooperation.

Certain immersive interactions from exploring the historical landmarks to participating in the 5th China - South Asia Cooperation Forum have profoundly enriched my understanding and appreciations of our shared ties.

Both India and China being ancient civilisations have led to exploring and establishing brotherhood and common ties with Chinese brethren.

This reflects me to believe in वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम् or the world is one family. The most notable aspect was their celebration of Rabindranath Tagore's centenary visit to China which they presented through interactive musical and dancing performances by both Chinese and Indian dancers and singers.

A special play named “Dynamic Yunan” which centred around nature and human relationships have been well dramatized under the direction of Ms Yang Liping while Ms.

Yang Wu was in the lead. I was inspired by the show of the grand peacock dance and the pilgrimage journey amidst rain drops providing a feeling of moksha and serenity.

This aspect induced in me a sense of passion and dedication for my future works with much zeal.

I was further moved by the amazing hospitality that reflected in me a feeling of familial connections with them.

I am honoured and grateful to Mr. Hou Yunfeng, Deputy Director, International exchange and cooperation department, Yunnan Arts University and Ms.

Chen Wenting, International exchange and cooperation department, Yunnan Arts University for guiding us throughout the event.

Special thanks to Jagadish and members of Chinese delegation team whose constant guidance kept us motivated as well as the team of 12 artists from whom I have learned a lot of things.

I am deeply grateful to the Consul General of People's Republic of China in Kolkata for providing me with the opportunity to participate in this extraordinary cultural and educational exchange.
