By Ina Stašević, Croatia : In recent years, Qatar has attracted increasing attention with the need for international cooperation, therefore bilateral and multilateral ties have become increasingly important.
On the occasion of International Women's Day, I spoke with H.E. Asma Naji Al-Amri, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Croatia.
Qatar has built a world reputation when it comes to international diplomatic relations, and Qatar's role in the Middle East is especially important. How do you view the situation in Gaza? The situation in Gaza is deeply concerning and continues to be a significant humanitarian crisis.

Since day one, Qatar has remained unflinching in its historical position in support of the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and their just cause, actively engaging in diplomatic efforts to mediate and promote peace in the region.
This includes reaching the Gaza ceasefire deal last January, which confirmed Qatar’s significant role as a mediator. Since the ceasefire deal, Qatar has established a land and air bridge to meet the urgent humanitarian and medical needs of the people of Gaza.
Through this bridge, humanitarian aid, medical supplies, and approximately 30 million liters of Qatari fuel have been sent to the Gaza Strip, with about 20 million liters of fuel already delivered. Additionally, Qatar, along with its partners, continues to support all regional and international efforts to further strengthen humanitarian assistance and facilitate the delivery of aid to the Gaza Strip.
