BY A STAFF REPORTER: North Korea fired two short-range ballistic missiles into the East Sea early Wednesday after deploying a nuclear-armed submarine to South Korea for the first time in decades. South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said north Korea fired two short-range ballistic missiles from near the capital Pyongyang between 3:30 a.m. and 3:46 a.m. The details of this flight were similar to those of the Japanese military. The military said the missiles fell outside Japan's exclusive economic zone and there were no immediate reports of damage from ships or aircraft in the affected areas.
