Vientiane, Lao PDR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the 19th East Asia Summit on the second day of his visit to Vientiane, Lao People's Democratic Republic (PDR). The summit brought together leaders from across the region to discuss important issues of security, economic cooperation, and shared development in East Asia.

On the sidelines of the summit, PM Modi met with key global figures including New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and Thailand Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra. These meetings focused on strengthening bilateral relations and exploring new avenues for collaboration in trade, technology, and regional stability.

Additionally, PM Modi held separate discussions with Lao PDR President Thongloun Sisoulith and Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone. The talks centered on deepening ties between India and Lao PDR, with a focus on enhancing connectivity, trade, and cooperation in infrastructure projects.

With the conclusion of his engagements in Lao PDR, Prime Minister Modi has now departed for India. His participation in the East Asia Summit underscores India's commitment to maintaining strong diplomatic ties and playing an active role in regional and global affairs.
