BY A STAFF REPORTER: The students have stepped in where the Army has failed. They have called for a march on the streets of Dhaka on Tuesday to protect the lives and properties of minority Hindu, Buddhist communists amid rising incidents of arson, violence and setting fire to minority religious places of worship.

One of the key co-ordinators of the Anti Discriminatory Student Movement, Nahid Islam mentioned that they have spoken to Bangladeshi nobel laureate Professor Mohammed Yunus and he has agreed to become the chief advisor of the interim government. Islam also mentioned in his social media handle that they will announce names of remaining members of the interim government by Tuesday. Islam and fellow coordinators urged the President of Bangladesh to take measures to ensure normalcy returns to the country as soon as possible. Islam announced the formation of a committee to safeguard public property and communal harmony which will protect the minority community and public property.
