School attack, 20 arrested

In Uganda, 20 people have been arrested on suspicion of involvement in the school massacre.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Uganda police say 20 people have been arrested for allegedly helping an IS-linked rebel group suspected of killing 41 students at a school in western Uganda.

On Friday, members of the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) rebel group attacked Lubirira Secondary School in Mpondwe, killing several people with sharp weapons and setting the hostel on fire.

Six others were abducted, authorities said.

Uganda Police Force spokesman Fred Enanga said 20 suspected ADF associates had been arrested. ' 

The Lubirira school is located in the city of Kasese, which borders the country with the Democratic Republic of congo, which houses students between the ages of 13 and 18. Police said the youngest student killed in Friday's attack was just 12 years old.
