BY A STAFF REPORTER: Ukraine's air defense forces shot down 11 cruise missiles in Kiev's airspace on Friday, the first missile attack on the Ukrainian capital by authorities in 51 days. "According to the information currently verified, the attack was carried out by a strategic aircraft," said Serhiy Popko, head of the military administration in Kiev city. The air defense forces also shot down two drones, which popco said had not yet been established. There were no reports of civilian casualties or damage to residential buildings or infrastructure, even though local power lines were cut off by debris in the capital's Obolon district.
