BY A STAFF REPORTER: Ukrainian military spokesman Yevhen Kozirnov said on Saturday that the Ukrainian military had almost pushed Russian forces into the village of Klischyvka in the Bakhmut area. 

"Ukraine's armed forces are moving in two directions north and south of Bakhmut," Kozyrnov said. In the last three days a mechanized infantry brigade has advanced less than half a mile on the outskirts of the city, pushing the enemy back and reaching convenient heights to control the roads leading to Bakhmut, Klichivka, and the village. '

"Virtually the entire Klishchivka is under fire, and this indicates a certain nature of the enemy's actions," Kozyrnov said. Our infantry advanced heroically, very beautifully and very relentlessly. " 

Kozhinov acknowledged that Russian forces were still fighting.
