BY A STAFF REPORTER: Two rockets struck the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad on Friday morning, but there were no casualties, an embassy spokesman said. The attack is believed to have been carried out by Iranian-backed militias in Iraq. No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
In mid-October, a group of Iranian-backed Shiite Muslim militias launched the first rocket attack on the embassy since it began attacking U.S. forces in Iraq and neighboring Syria.
