During Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Ukraine, former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko expressed admiration for his leadership and the positive changes he has brought to India. Tymoshenko described Modi as a "legendary person," acknowledging his role in elevating India to the 5th largest economy in the world, up from 11th before his tenure. She credited him with significantly enhancing the prosperity of the Indian people and fostering national pride.
Tymoshenko emphasized that Modi’s visit to Ukraine is not just historically significant but also brings hope for achieving sustainable and fair peace in the region. She highlighted Modi’s principled stance on international law and his respect for the United Nations Charter, expressing confidence that any peace dialogue initiated by him would be based on these fundamental principles, including respect for sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence. Tymoshenko believes that Modi’s involvement could have a broader positive impact on the European region as well.
