Shreyas Iyer fully healthy, joined KKR after landing in Kolkata?

By A STAFF REPORTER: The IPL is going to start on March 22. Kolkata Knight Riders players have already arrived in Kolkata. The practice of Knight Riders has started at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. But captain Shreyas Iyer has not come yet. However, it is known that he was coming to Kolkata on Saturday. He will join the team today.

He was supposed to miss the first few matches of IPL 2024 due to back pain. But it is known that Shreyas Iyer will come to Kolkata today and join the team in practice.

Reports of Iyer dealing with a back problem first surfaced after the conclusion of the second Test between India and England. He was then dropped from the Indian team for the remaining three matches of the series and the BCCI did not give any official reason. Iyer later skipped the Ranji Trophy quarterfinal fixture in Mumbai with Baroda before naming them in their squad for the semi-final against Tamil Nadu.

The Knights arrived in Kolkata on Thursday, 14^th March. All the players except Shreyas Iyer have joined the team. England wicketkeeper Phil Salt has also joined. They practiced for four hours on Friday. Practice is interrupted by rain, though. The Knights also have practiced on Saturday. However, according to Knight camp sources, Shreyas too joined the team on Saturday. It should not be difficult for him to play from the first match.
