He said, "Congress will never understand the struggle and pain of the poor. BJP has stood by women in Karnataka. It has given women ownership of houses. Congress has only done politics of appeasement". Prime Minister Narendra Modi has claimed that Karnataka has suffered under the Congress government. "Congress only cares about seats, not people of the state," Modi said. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has claimed that the Congress has stalled the development of Karnataka. He further said in the speech, "This election is not just about winning, this election is about making Karnataka the number one state in the country. The state can develop only when all its parts develop". He said that this election will determine the role of Karnataka. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has claimed that double engine government is very important for the state to make Karnataka number one. He told the people of Karnataka, "Foreign investment in the state has tripled during the BJP rule compared to the Congress rule. The state is developing at twice the speed". Prime Minister Narendra Modi claimed that the Congress made only false promises to the farmers and people of Karnataka. He said that the farmers of the state did not get any benefits under the Congress government. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has claimed that Karnataka will reach the top of development if it votes for BJP. It should be noted that the counting of votes in Karnataka is going to take place on May 13.
