Block your Adhar linked biometric to prevent losing money

Imagine you wake up one morning to receive a message that certain amount of money has been withdrawn from your bank account without your knowledge. You have neither shared any OTP, replied to any unknown phone number, sms, or given bank details to any unknown person. A new fraud AEPS, Adhar Enabled Payment System where you can loose Rs 10000 from your bank on a single day. How does it happen? The miscreants clone your biometric which is linked with your Adhar card. What is a biometric? Your finger print on an electronic machine is the biometric which is used for registry and for several other jobs both in the government and private sector. Fraudsters are now cloning the fingerprints and withdrawing money from the banks. If you do not block your biometric through the Adhar, then you might stand to keep losing Rs 10000 every day. Kolkata police has swung into action and cyber cell has pro actively launched a drive to take action and educate people.
