By A Staff Reporter:Is rash driving by two wheelers responsible for the majority of the accidents ? Do police often go soft on speeding two wheelers? Most  Kolkatanas believe that motorcyclists and scooterists flout rules and zig zag through traffic. Such rash driving not only brings danger to the person driving the two wheeler and the pillion rider but also to the driver of the vehicle whether it is a car or a bus or a truck. There have been several instances of accidents involving two wheelers in which the motorcyclists or scooterists have succumbed to injuries. In the latest instance in front of Fort William near Red Road, the three young boys on a scooter were not wearing helmets and had apparently suddenly come in front of the car. A tour of the city revealed that even after such fatal instances, rough riding by two wheelers continued with many in sensitive accident prone areas like Park Circus, Esplanade, Topsia, Tangra, Rajabazar, Kidderpore, Ma Flyover, Gariahat, Maniktala, Shyambazar, Behala, and Tollygunge zin zagging and speeding without helmets. ANM News spotted some blatant violations with traffic policemen turning the other way.
