Independence Day Celebration at Bhavan's Gangabux Kanoria VidyaMandir

BY A STAFF REPORTER: On 15th August 2024, Bhavan’s Gangabux Kanoria Vidyamandir commemorated the 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm. The day began with Prabhat Pheri led by the school pipe band, followed by students who hummed patriotic songs as they walked around the locality early in the morning, reawakening the spirit of patriotism among the residents.

 The students of BGKV conveyed the message of love, peace, equality, and harmony as they marched forward with banners that reinforced the idea of equal rights and the importance of safety, equality, and empathy. The Prabhat Pheri was joined by the principal, Mr. Arun Kumar Dasgupta, and other members of the school administration. Not only the students, teachers, and staff of the school but also the parents and guardians walked along with equal zeal.

The Prabhat Pheri was followed by the hoisting of the National Flag on the school campus. Honourable Chairman of Bhavan’s Kolkata Kendra, Dr. Bikram Sarkar graced the flag-hoisting ceremony with his presence. The final event of the day was a brief cultural programme where along with the students of primary and secondary sections, students of the management college also participated with equal enthusiasm.
