If there are no QR codes on the fire crackers then they are not authentic and the manufacturers and end users are liable to be prosecuted, mentioned senior officials of the Pollution control Board. The ``green crackers'' used by Cricket Association of Bengal did not have the QR code on them as seen in the left overs in the maidan. ``The law will take its own course. We did not give the nod to burst these crackers. We had directed them to take permission from Kolkata police," said Kalyan Rudra, chairman of Pollution Control Board (PCB).  Earlier member secretary of PCB, Dr Rajesh Kumar had written a strong letter to the CAB urging them to use green fire crackers with proper QR code and take permission from Kolkata police. Green activists are demanding action to be taken against the CAB, especially after a mounted police horse died following the bursting of crackers. Kolkata police said deputy commissioner of police south Priyabrata Roy is probing the incident.
