BY A STAFF REPORTER: A silent storm is brewing in SSKM Hospital. Doctors cutting across lines of seniority are livid against a section of senior doctors and an assistant superintendent of the hospital for alleged corrupt practices.

Protesting doctors are sitting inside the Hospital premises with posters and banners stating ``We Want Justice'' and have struck work severely affecting the treatment of patients.

A couple of junior doctors speaking to ANM News on the sidelines of the protest against the rape and murder of a PGT doctor in RG Kar Hospital also alleged massive corruption by a section of senior doctors close to the management and ruling party for financial gains.

The protesting doctors took their anger out on the assistant superintendent of the hospital along with two senior doctors of the cardiology department. The protestors claimed that the assistant superintendent of the hospital has been warming the chair for more than half the decade and there are accusations of corruption against him. A section of the doctors demanded an impartial probe into the accusations.
