Special action on Cyclone 'Dana' safety: Emergency meeting of stakeholders in Kolkata

Own Reporter : Preparatory meetings with all stakeholders, METBI SC and Airport Director will be held in Kolkata on 22 October 2024 at 4:30 PM, 23 October 2024 at 12:30 PM and at 5:00 PM on the same day.

The Met director said that the wind speed in Kolkata and adjoining areas could be 60 to 70 kmph, gusting to 80 kmph. Besides, heavy to very heavy rainfall is forecast.

To ensure the safety of passengers and aircraft, ATC, CNS, Chairman AOC, Vice Chairman AOC and other stakeholders have unanimously decided that all activities will remain suspended from 6:00 PM on 24 October 2024 to 9:00 AM on 25 October 2024. Accordingly, notam action is initiated.
