Fresh Polls To Be Held In The Outer Manipur Constituency On April 30
After the l-Inner Manipur Constituency, the Election Commission of India has directed that fresh polls be held in six polling stations of the Outer Manipur constituency on April 30.
BY A STAFF REPORTER: After the l-Inner Manipur Constituency, the Election Commission of India has directed that fresh polls be held in six polling stations of the Outer Manipur constituency on April 30.
Through a notification released on Saturday, the Chief Electoral Officer of Manipur intimidated that fresh elections will be held in six polling stations namely Chingai, Karong, and four stations of Ukhrul on April 30, Tuesday. Moreover, polling will take place between 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The Election Commission of India has, under Sections 58(2) and 58A(2) of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, directed that the poll taken on 26th April, 2024 (Friday) in respect of 6 polling stations listed in the table below of 2- Outer Manipur (ST) Parliamentary… pic.twitter.com/OBkp6PSbsF
The Lok Sabha elections in the Outer Manipur constituency took place during the second phase on April 26, Friday. However, there were complaints of violence as two EVMs were vandalized by miscreants. I-Inner Manipur Constituency also witnessed incidents of violence during the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections. Re-polling was held in the constituency on April 22, Monday.
