Ahead of 2024 vote, YS Sharmila joins Congress

Before the Lok Sabha elections, the Congress party gave a big surprise. YSRAT chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister’s sister YS Sharmila joins the Congress on Thursday. YS Sharmila joins Congress, in the presence of party president Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, in Delhi. After joining the party, Sharmila says, "Congress party is still the largest secular party of our country and it has always upheld the true culture of India and built foundations of our nation."
