Bhubaneswar, Odisha: In a significant advancement for public transportation in the city, Odisha’s Skill Development and Technical Education Department principal secretary Usha Padhee announced the inauguration of e-buses and automatic ticket vending machines in Bhubaneswar.
"This is a momentous day for us," Padhee stated, reflecting on the dual initiatives aimed at improving travel convenience. She highlighted the importance of these developments, saying, "We had two major programmes, one is that e-buses have started coming to Bhubaneswar. Our HUD Minister Krushna Mohapatra inaugurated them. Along with this, we have also installed automatic ticket vending machines as well. Hopefully, this will bring ease in travelling."
The introduction of e-buses marks a step toward a more sustainable and eco-friendly transportation system, while the automatic vending machines are set to simplify the ticket purchasing process for commuters.
These initiatives align with the Odisha government's ongoing efforts to enhance urban infrastructure and provide better services to the public, promising a more efficient and user-friendly transit experience for residents of Bhubaneswar.
