Brinda Karat Accuses TMC of Cover-Up in RG Kar Hospital Case

Kolkata: CPI(M) leader Brinda Karat has accused West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of attempting to cover up the nexus between the administration and the accused in the RG Kar Medical College rape-murder case. Karat questioned the vandalism at the doctors' protest site, suggesting that it was orchestrated by TMC goons who were opposing the protest.

She further called for transparency regarding the political affiliations of the 19 arrested suspects, asserting that they were all connected to TMC. Karat also criticized the police for their actions during the incident and condemned the police commissioner for questioning the victim's mental state when the case first emerged.
