In a recent affidavit filed before the Supreme Court, the Centre argued against scrapping the NEET-UG 2024 examination, citing the absence of any proof of a large-scale breach of confidentiality. The Centre stated that invalidating the entire examination would be irrational and would “seriously jeopardise” the lakhs of honest candidates who participated in the test.

The affidavit emphasized that scrapping the exam would unfairly impact students who diligently prepared and took the exam in good faith.
