Coimbatore police cracks down on Bengal gang

By A Staff Reporter: Luck ran out for a couple from West Bengal when they were arrested by Coimbatore police for gold theft. Acting on a tip off, a special team of police officers of Coimbatore police arrested the couple and confiscated gold ingots weighing 10 kilograms. Police said they are worth about Rs 5 crores. Senior police officers investigating the case informed ANM News that they suspect the two have been indulging in such kind of activity for quite some time. Police are probing how they arrived and managed to steal such huge quantity of gold ingot and whether they had any local accomplices. The couple are being currently being g interrogated.
