Mathura, Uttar Pradesh – BJP MP and veteran actor Hema Malini addressed residents of her constituency on Saturday, touching upon key concerns and development promises, with a special focus on the much-anticipated Yamuna river cleanup.

“Everyone has the same question – when will Yamuna be cleaned?” she said during a public interaction. “We have got the answer to this because our Prime Minister himself has assured that Yamuna will be cleaned soon.” The statement comes as a response to long-standing demands from the people of Mathura and Vrindavan, where the polluted river has been a critical environmental and spiritual concern.

Hema Malini also highlighted several ongoing and proposed development projects in the region. “On my request, Gadkari ji (Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways) said that a Vrindavan bypass will be built. This will ease congestion and benefit the people greatly,” she noted.

She further added that the Mathura railway station is undergoing renovation, aiming to enhance connectivity and travel comfort for locals and pilgrims alike.

Concluding her remarks, the MP appealed to the people for continued support: “If the people here support us, we can do a lot more.” Her comments reflect the BJP’s focus on combining spiritual heritage with infrastructural advancement, particularly in regions with high religious tourism.
