With the catchphrase "Haryana Ek, Haryanvi Ek," the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) came to power in Haryana ten years ago, pledging to bring the state and its citizens together under the banner of "good governance through systemic change." Building on this foundation, the BJP has developed a strong framework for government during the previous 10 years, radically altering the administrative structure of the state.

The infamous "Perchi-Kharchi" system was eliminated, which has been one of the BJP's two biggest victories in Haryana. The recruiting procedure for government posts was originally controlled by this unethical practice, but it has now been entirely abolished, giving Haryanvis their trust and dignity back and greatly improving the state's reputation.

Families all throughout Haryana now adhere to the idea that merit is the only requirement for government employment and school entrance, regardless of where they live or their financial situation. These procedures are no longer influenced by suggestions or payments. The government of Haryana has implemented a stringent policy of "no expense, no slip," which has proven to be advantageous, especially for the most marginalized segments of the community. This means that young people from underprivileged and marginalized backgrounds can now realize their long-held aspirations of working for the government.

Change from Corruption to Meritocracy: Government posts in Haryana were frequently put up for auction by former regimes to individuals who had ties to political figures and authorities. The interview procedure was reduced to a formality, and the results were predetermined based more on nepotism than on ability. The notorious "Kharchi-Perchi" system made it possible for recruitment lists to be released straight from the offices of leaders, giving qualified applicants little chance of being hired.

Merit as a Transparent Recruitment System: "Mission Merit," a comprehensive endeavor to provide transparency to the government employment recruiting process, was introduced by the BJP government ten years ago. Other states now use this approach as a template. One noteworthy instance is from the Sirsa district's Risalia Kheda hamlet, where 35 young people were able to obtain government employment, proving the administration's dedication to sincere programs and goals.

Faith in Governance: The removal of dishonest practices such as the "Perchi-Kharchi" system has helped to rebuild trust in the administration of Haryana. Many underprivileged families have benefited from the emphasis on merit, which guarantees a more just and equitable society for all. The people of the state now have more possibilities and hope because of the BJP's commitment to meritocracy and transparency, which has also enhanced the state's administrative procedures.
