— BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa welcomed the recent announcement by the External Affairs Ministry regarding the renewal of the agreement on the Sri Kartarpur Sahib Corridor between India and Pakistan for another five years. Speaking on the importance of this corridor, Sirsa stated, "We thank PM Modi. It is happy news for us because the Sri Kartarpur Sahib Corridor is the only corridor that allows people to enter a foreign country without a visa."

The Kartarpur Sahib Corridor, which connects the Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib in Pakistan with the Indian border, has been a significant link for Sikhs, allowing them to pay homage to one of their holiest sites with greater ease. Sirsa emphasized the historical and cultural significance of the corridor, calling it "a historical corridor" that reflects the long-standing connection between India and Pakistan.

He further noted, "This shows that PM Modi respects and loves the Sikh community," underscoring the government's commitment to facilitating religious practices and maintaining ties with the Sikh population. The renewal of this agreement is seen as a positive step towards enhancing cross-border cooperation and promoting religious tourism, allowing devotees to visit the revered site with less bureaucratic hindrance.
