Karnataka Polls: JD(S) announces second list of 49 candidates

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy and H.D. Deve Gowda Revanna released the second list of JD(S) candidates at a joint press conference on Friday. H P Swaroop has been fielded from the Hassan Assembly segment. Revanna’s wife Bhavani had tried hard to contest from Hassan. However, as Kumaraswamy had said earlier, Swaroop has been chosen as the party’s candidate from there. YSV Datta, who has returned to the JD(S), has been named as the party’s nominee for Kadur constituency. Jd(S) workers in Hassan and fans of Swaroop celebrated as soon as the ticket was announced.
