Jharkhand DGP Anurag Gupta provided an update on the ongoing Al Qaeda module investigation, revealing that seven individuals were arrested in connection with the case. Among those arrested, five were detained by the Delhi Police, with the Jharkhand ATS offering full support in the operation.
Gupta noted that these suspects have been under surveillance by state and national security agencies for some time. The investigation has yielded significant findings, including incriminating literature and data from the suspects' laptops. He confirmed that a doctor from Ranchi and a businessman from Hazaribagh are among those arrested, and the primary FIR was lodged in Delhi. The arrested individuals have been transferred to Delhi for further interrogation.
