Ajendra Ajay, President of the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee, has strongly denied Congress allegations regarding the amount of gold used in the Kedarnath temple. Ajay stated that the temple has 23 kg of gold in the sanctum sanctorum and 1000 kg of copper plating, contrary to claims by some Congress leaders that 230 kg of gold was used.

To counter these allegations, Ajay released the tax invoice from the jeweler who supplied the gold for the temple, detailing the actual quantities of gold and copper used. He accused Congress of spreading baseless propaganda ahead of the upcoming Assembly by-elections in Kedarnath, aimed at sensationalizing the issue without factual evidence. Ajay condemned these attempts as unfortunate and misleading.
