By A Staff Reporter :   In in the wake of the resignation of former education minister and incumbent
Heirok MLA Th Radheshyam from the post of advisor to CM, resignation of some BJP MLAs
holding the top posts of Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs)/corporations as chairmen/deputy
chairmen is imminent.

In his resignation letter, MLA Th Radheshyam said that the post of advisor to
CM given to him was only for namesake and he was given no responsibility at all and accordingly
resigned from the post.Just after resigning from the post, Th Radheshyam posted a video on social
media and expressed his dissatisfaction over policy and governance of the present government led
by CM Biren Singh. He said in the video that the present government is unable to even release
pension amount for teachers who had retired after serving for a long time.Being an elected
representative and holding the post of advisor to CM, many retired teachers approached him for
highlighting their issues to the CM particularly on releasing pension amount but could not do so as
the post was only for namesake, Radheshyam said in the video and also highlighted bad condition
of roads in his constituency which could not be improved.

In another video he uploaded on social media from a park in New Delhi, MLA Th Radheshyam strongly called for politicians to speak the truth only in order to save Manipur. He said that the state would not move forward if politicians
continue with illegal activities by virtue the power they possess though such activities are forbidden
for public.Radheshyam had served people of the state as the education minister in the BJP 1.0
government but many people are now anxious to know the reason behind his sudden resignation
from the post of advisor to CM.

Amidst the situation, it is likely that some BJP MLAs who are holding chairmen/ deputy chairmen posts in different PSUs/corporations may resign.BJP got absolute majority in the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election by bagging 32 seats and formed the BJP 2.0 government with Naga People's Front (NPF) extending support.Soon after forming the
government led by CM N Biren, MLAs of political parties like National People's Party (NPP), Janata
Dal United, Kuki People's Alliance and an independent MLA also extended support to the BJP 2.0
government.

Out of six elected JDU MLAs, five had joined BJP too but some MLAs in the ruling side
created problem in allotting ministerial berths.Nevertheless, 12 MLAs were made ministers
including CM N Biren Singh as per directive of party's central leaders while some MLAs were
allotted chairmen/deputy chairmen posts of some PSUs.With the visible change in the government,
confusion within the state BJP cannot be denied and it is also learnt that some ruling MLAs have
been camping in New Delhi since sometimes back.
