Omar Abdullah, the National Conference (NC) candidate who won from both Ganderbal and Budgam assembly seats, voiced his appreciation to the voters and emphasized the reestablishment of democracy in Jammu and Kashmir. Speaking from Ganderbal, he remarked, "Democracy has prevailed in J&K after a long time. People have delivered their verdict." Though some seat results are still awaited, Abdullah highlighted the clear choice made by the people in favor of the NC, acknowledging the role of alliance partners in addressing any gaps in the campaign.

In his speech, Omar Abdullah conveyed deep gratitude to the voters of Ganderbal, saying, "The people worked hard for one day by casting their vote, and now I will work hard for the next five years for their welfare." He stressed his commitment to the region and vowed to prioritize the well-being and development of the constituency over the coming years.

Abdullah also outlined the next steps for the party, which involve calling a Legislative party meeting to elect a leader, coordinating with alliance partners, and staking a claim to form the government. He acknowledged the process of electing an alliance leader and mentioned that a decision regarding which constituency he will represent will be made in the coming days.
