New Delhi: Union Minister Piyush Goyal, speaking at the Italy-India Business, Science and Technology Forum, reaffirmed the strength of the growing partnership between India and Italy. Amidst global economic and geopolitical uncertainties, Goyal called the bilateral relationship a source of reassurance and opportunity.
"Those who find a friend find a treasure," Goyal said, describing the Italy-India relationship as deep and mutually beneficial. He underscored the importance of the Joint Strategic Action Plan 2025–29, launched by PM Narendra Modi and Italian PM Giorgia Meloni in November 2024, describing it as "forward-looking, ambitious, and pragmatic."
The action plan focuses on trade, investment, and innovation, aligning with India’s broader vision for Viksit Bharat 2047. Goyal called the forum a timely platform to unite stakeholders in implementing this shared roadmap.
