New Delhi, April 5 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday welcomed the Cabinet’s approval of four multitracking projects for Indian Railways, calling it a major step forward in strengthening the country’s transport infrastructure and supply chains.

In a social media post, PM Modi stated, “The Cabinet decision on approving four multitracking projects relating to the Indian Railways will improve our connectivity infrastructure, boost convenience, reduce logistics costs and strengthen supply chains.”

The multitracking projects are aimed at expanding the capacity of heavily used railway routes by adding additional tracks, thereby improving efficiency and reducing congestion. These projects are expected to enhance freight movement, ensure smoother train operations, and significantly cut transit delays.
